Z Rear not moving
Forgot to plug Z Rear (VC4 300). Did it, it still doesn't move or work

this was g28
If it homes Z, the rear one doesn't move
It's not the driver either
I'm inverting the Z1 and Z2 to see if it's the cable
It's the cable
well narrowed down
@TheTik do you know how I check which wire is the problem?
with machine off, pull out a multimeter and check continuity
Ok
Bad news
After changing things around, I think it's the board itself
Motor 6 doesn't work
Changed the octopus board
Hopefully an improvement?
Kinda
If you try just homing X, does it still move diagonally?
yes
and this is hybrid, not idex, and the hybrid belts aren't hooked up yet, correct?
yes
Double-check, I bet one of your xy motors isn't turning
if you try to move in x, and it moves diagonally, then motors aren't doing the right thing. Could be a bad motor/driver/wiring, but also could be not configured as CoreXY. It being a vcore4 and you're using ratos that last would surprise me
How do I check if it's bad motor or driver?
It's configured as Hybrid atm
swap things around to see if the problem moves. Aka, swap the motor drivers for your X and Y, see if the problem stays the same or changes
ok
You're right
My right motor isn't working
Well
It's not the driver
Inverted the L and R cables and it just vibrated
"No trigger on x after full movement"
Well good and bad news
Good: I just forgot to tighten the pulley
Now homing x and y doesn't go diagonally
Bad: z still just stops and goes "homing z" eternally
Good to see progress!
Z is stopping though, if it wasn't sensing the bed then it would just keep moving. Weird
What z sensor are you using? And drop your printer.cfg in here
Good news: motion-wise, everything is solved
Bad news: my orbiter extruder is running inverted for some reason
easy fix, drop a
!
in front of the dir pin
Or remove if it is already there. Mine for example looks like
If I wanted to reverse it I would do dir_pin: !e_dir_pin
Did it
Thanks
Now it works
Awesome! Feel free to mark this as solved
