How do I set up Dynmap for Fabric?
It doesn't seem to be working and whenever I search how to set it up for Fabric the only thing that comes up are the versions for Spigot/Paper

You can always try the alternatives tho

You donβt. You use Bluemap.
dynmap is known for more resource-hungry than alternatives i think
Not only more resource hungry but itβs also a poorly made piece of shit.
really? why is that when bluemap is more detailed?
shit code
hover over the information button on each @joshua
dynmap is slow, laggy
not incremental unlike all the others
so every time you want an update, it does a FULL rerender
yeah, i went to bluemap over there
whereas the others will only generate the areas that are changed
oh that makes sense
bluemap also is more detailed
Genuinely Dynmap is just so poorly built that you can get better quality, less resource use, and faster perf by just not writing code like an idiot goober.
and yet far less resource & storage intensive
still uses a fair bit of storage tbf
if you are limited on storage try pl3xmap or squaremap
how much more resource intensive is bluemap than squaremap/pl3xmap?
tbh i don't like bluemap that much - feels too op for being able to scout out an area
initially, probably a lot
it takes longer than pl3xmap and squaremap, because of its detail
but incrementally, it's not very heavy on the resources from what I've seen
fair.
You can disable the "spectator / noclip" system but yeah I understand
thanks
which do you recommend of pl3xmap and squaremap? google says squaremap was made to be more efficient than pl3xmap but then v2 was made to make pl3xmap
and now they're on v3
pl3xmap is arguably better
but
you can't go wrong with either to be brutally honest
ok, thank you!
Mod 'squaremap' (squaremap) 1.3.4 requires any version of fabric, which is missing!
it's giving me this error and idk why because i have fabric 1.21.4 installed
fabric api
oh
i think the reason dynmap is the way it is is legit cus of how old it is, i dont think its changed othet then bug fixes for the majority of its lifespan
i like squaremap
Old does not equal good.
nah dynmap is dogshit
he is saying itβs dogshit lol
