One of the first things I did after joining here last year was to do a wardrobe analysis series of outfits. After a year on here and MFA discord I wanted to do it again. The basic idea is to do a little lookbook that features essentially everything I own (there are a few ties, a navy sweater, a hat and maybe a scarf missing but I think that’s it). I tried to do it by repeating as few items as possible, mostly just a few jeans and a couple shoes. I didn’t have time to do all new pictures so some are from fits in the last few months.
I feel like I have consolidated the way I want to look to a significant degree and am pretty happy with my current wardrobe. My influences are pretty much the same but I feel like the pieces I added helped me fit better into those niches. I got rid of basically all the slim fit stuff and replaced with straighter cuts. There are also a lot more pops of colour and feature colour items. There is still a lot of versatility but way more (imo) interesting pieces.
Compared to last year I’m not looking direction the same way, however I’m always happy to accept thoughts or feedback! I ended up getting most of the things I had on my projected want list when I made this last year without going overboard and spending a ton of money or overhauling everything.
I still want some more fun feature colour outerwear since the red parka and yellow shell are so fun, maybe a green or brighter blue vest or chamois or something. I’d like some more western button downs, maybe another long jacket and to upgrade some pieces but I’m in no rush. Now if I ever find a Polo Bear sweater or Lost and Founds for a reasonable price I’ll be set…except that I don’t subscribe to the idea that there is such thing is being finished. I’m happy with where I’m at, but my goal is not to be done!
