Super Chainsaw mod appears to cause a race condition on startup
When using the mod "super chainsaw", by itself, the game frequently will not start. It hangs at the spinny-wheel loading screen with the wheel spinning. I will have to kill the process and try again (sometimes a dozen times or more) before the game launches successfully. During gameplay there are no issues, only during startup that it gets into some kind of deadlock. Any way to get around this other than the mod author releasing a fix/update?
The way I will know I need to kill the process within a few seconds of launching is the progress spinner on the loading screen will continue moving smoothly. If the race condition is NOT hit and the game loads succesfully, that progress spinner will halt spinning for a fraction of a second a few times.

We need more information to help you. Before launching the game again, open the Mod Manager and use the "Generate debug info" option, then send the zip file produced in #help-using-mods. This ensures that your help request won't get buried and forgotten in other, non-help channels!
If you need to access older log files, see https://docs.ficsit.app/satisfactory-modding/latest/faq.html#Files_Logs

hooking
Your game appears to have crashed due to a failure to hook a function. This is usually caused by a memory alignment issue. To fix this, try restarting your computer, verifying your game files, and making sure all of your mods are up to date. If that still doesn't work, try restarting your computer again, then opening and closing other programs before launching the game to alter the memory alignment.

This is a debug log from a rare successful launch. FWIW, I had to try several dozen times this morning to get the game to actually launch.

triggered by @MosquitoBaitDid you restart your computer at all between the launch attempts like the bot messages suggests?
Yes, and it didn't work. That's definitely not a reliable fix for a race condition, even if it does work occasionally, just as restarting the application over and over does.
Sorry, we've been trying to fix it for years, but it only becomes more uncommon (and harder to test). The entire toolkit is open source and you're invited to try and fix it yourself.
Interestingly, none of the other mods I have been installing trigger the problem.
There could be a problem with super chainsaw itself, but I haven't seen any other reports of it, I guess let's keep our eyes out. Do you have another device you could test it on?
Technically yes, but I have yet to actually finish installing an OS on said other device :p
