Are loafers comfortable
Hey all, just interested in some more leather shoes.
I’ve never worn loafers before so I don’t know how they fit on my feet. Are they comfortable? I know it’s hard to generalize but there has to be a trend one way or the other, right? I like how they look but I don’t want to own shoes that I can’t stand for a few hours or walk a few miles in.

my experience with loafers is that immediate first impressions of trying them on might be that they are stiffer and less comfortable than sneakers because of the less flexible soles, but I found this to not actually be true once I adjusted. they're nice, I walk around my area all the time in them, wear them for hours.

Loafers are good, but the fit is less forgiving than sneakers.
Break-in is different for everyone and different shoes will be more or less comfortable for different people. The same as any other shoe tbh
If they weren't comfortable how would you even loaf in them

it's worth taking the time to find the right fit, though insoles can help
