my person, at least provide some link to the shirts you are referring. Anyway, if you want shirts that make you appear broader (and im guessing we are mainly talking about shoulders) just getting a different cut/fabric will not cut it as shirts are too unstructured for that. you would prolly need something with sewn in shoulderpads. Those are pretty uncommon in menswear and more common in womenswear. Alternatively there are also shoulderpads that you can wear beneath a shirt and propably some pads you can have a tailor sew in. With jackets its easier bc the fabric can be more stiff and the construction more structural.

Alternatively, lateral raises, shoulder press

Echoing what Leo said, there’s a a bunch of women’s shirts out there with shoulder pads. For menswear you’ll probably need to wear a jacket to achieve a similar effect. This person asked for shirts, not unsolicited fitness advice. There could be any number of non exercise related reasons for this question.

They were actually my go to before I got into fashion. I like how they fit me and have some interesting colors, but to be frank the quality/durability is utter trash. My path into them is they were universally the least expensive option at department stores for most of my adult life. I didn't care a lick about clothing and could get them for $20/per if I caught the right sale. If you find something you really like, no harm in trying it but don't expect it to hold up.

It's hard to have a lightweight material that also has structure. Maybe oxford cloth, twill, denim or chambray could work. van heusen makes cheap shirts and you get what you pay for.
