DH Server-side plugin support!
Hello I am trying to setup a server with DH support and I'm just having a few questions.
- How do you install a serverside plugin on a fabric server? Isn't fabric incompatible with Bukkit/Spigot/Paper?
- Does the server side plugin require the server and its players to use the nightly version?
- If no to above, can you use the experimental IRIS versions with the supported DH server sided plugin?

you dont need the plugin
just throw the nightly build on both the server and client

Also using the version of bliss that is compatible with DH.

dont mind the terrain it got screwed when i switched server jars

make sure you meet the shader support requirements
it also doesn't work without shaders.

can you try removing all other mods?
Ima try singleplayer then if it works remove mods from server and client.

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.

Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
huh i removed all the mods and its still doing this in singleplayer

World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Lithium, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Try the second part
