Do you have Iris installed? And does the game crash consistently, or did it happen only one time?
i do have iris installed, isntead of fabric full install i did the whole iris installer instead and it has onyl crashed 1 time. i did what a friend told me to do with the chunky mod and thats when it crashed then did it again and it fully worked.
Don't use the Iris Installer. By default, it will install Iris and Sodium in a seperate directory, which is then only used by a specific Instance. When using this instance, only Iris and Sodium will be loaded, no other mods.
Instead, just install iris as a mod from modrinth and put it into the mods folder, like any other mod
should i delete iris installer then and restart the process withfabric installer and API or should i jsut get iris and sodium on it on top of iris installer
The iris installer also has a option to install Iris with Fabric. Use this option, instead of just Iris. This will create a fabric instance and download Iris and Sodium into the mods folder.
After that, you can delete the Iris Installer, its only there to create a new instance with Sodium and Iris installed
oh okay cool i misspoke earlier but i did do that option when i first tried it. but for some reason i had sodium but not iris so.... should i install iris seperatly into mods folder?
Yea, just download Iris from modrinth and put it into the mods folder then
okay cool thank you! I will come back to say resutls and if there is any other problems
You can also consider using a third party mod manager like Modrinth APP or Prism launcher
They allow you to skip all the installers, you just select what you want and wait half a minute
They also filter all the mods automaticaly for the correct versions and allow you to download mods inside the launcher itself
Here is Modrinth tutorial:

If you would like to try it
thank you i appreciate it and if i do that would that mess up what i have already downloaded and have me start over. also is there a way that i cant have multiple shaders or just 1 ?
Yes, but you can copy everything over
old mods folder to the new one and same for resourcepacks, shaders worlds and other stuff
Inside the Modrinth instance you can open its folder to paste everything into
You can put multiple shaderpacks in the sahderpack folder
With Iris and Optifine you can only have 1 active at a time
There is an alternative to that called Canvas Renderer iirc
But the support for it is limited, the performance is worse, and there is no shader support
You can however mix and match different shaders together
