Issues with Dynmap webserver not being accessible
Using a server running paper on a server hosting service (pebblehost), I hvve configured dynmap to run on an additional server port provided to me by the service. I am unable to access the web server through my browser though. I am navigating to the server ip:alternative port and am receiving a connection refused error. Dynmap launches without error in the console and says "[dynmap] Web server started on address 0.0.0.0:8066", 8066 being the correct port. Dynmap functions normally ingame and is able to process a full render. I am uncertain as to what the issue could be

I have also tried to use BlueMap and ran into the same issue.
what are you connecting to in the browser?
198.27.**.***:8066
where the ip address is the address of the server (censored) and 8066 is port assigned by pebblehost
odd should work just fine then if that port is open in pebblehosts ports section (not sure what its called on there)
It says the port is open but I fear that it actually isnt or something is wrong with it
as neither bluemap nor dynmap have worked and a tool to test whether or not ports are open have said they're both closed
but I believe it would also say that if there was nothing listening on those ports
Did you forward the ports through pebble
balls
discord didn't show me other messages
according to their website all I need to do is click the button to create a new alternative port and it should be good to go
only message is "[01:21:13 WARN]: [dynmap] Resource assets/minecraft/textures/all.png for mod minecraft not found" but the webserver should still at least start if that issue is what it claims to be
that's fine
i am using a beta version of dynmap for 1.21.4 so i suppose that could be the issue but i know it has worked for other people
similar situation with bluemap
ask pebble support tbh
they told me to contact dynmap support lol
who are yet to respond to me
they claimed that "it looks like their internal webserver isn't functional."
after attempting to upsell me a $5 package for them to install it for me
eugh
i suspect the issue may be on their end
but given that their support team is notoriously unhelpful
im not confident itll be resolved
thats why you DONT use dynmap

dynmap is a pretty shitty map
use dynmap guys
from clyde
dont really need your service warring if none of them work
SHIT
i fixed it
ty book
admittedly it could just because im using beta versoins of both of the services i tried but i believe its more likely it's either an error on my behalf or an issue with my server host
Have you tried square map
Sm works well for me
Itβs also very efficient
does it have towny compatibility
Uhh not sure
I donβt use towny
bluemap has towny compatibility
it does
it does
Squaremap appears to not be working either
It doesnβt allow you into the webpage?
connection refused
Have you used a port checker to make sure the port is open? If itβs not itβs definitely a PebbleHost issue that needs to be raised with their support
