neither
also be careful with the mature content restrictions
its not supposed to be anything public
also I kinda dont want to learn java, so id rather pick one of the two
both have big issues
well "big"
mhm whats the issue with denizen?
i just know that skript can be slow and resource intensive
NEITHER
Learn it
Do it
I believe in you
Any good tutorials for plugins and what IDE
(i think its called IDE im just throwing around words i think i know)
Kody Simpson. IntellIJ IDEA
And use an ad blocker for Kody, he's a jerk and doesn't deserve revenue
i always use an ad blocker
okay so learn java, and then just make everything myself
yepp
you are kidding me
you don't need to learn that much java to do simple projects
reguardless of what "language" you use, they all share the same concepts. You just have to learn how to use those concepts
why use him to learn then
Skript is fine imo
It has a bigger community
if used correctly, then the performance should be fine
because his videos are fine I think
fair nuff
a jerk? π
what makes you say that
right winged verbal homophobe
β¦ ah
Agreed.
As long as you aren't being stupid with it, it works fine
Only thing I don't like is the Vars CSV and how there isn't a way to do that with SQLite or redis
in 99% of cases those types of variables are stupid anyways
the problem is its stupid by default
like just dont use 1 tick
every tick:
check all player's inventory
(this is just an example, i dont know the exact code)
eugh
why though
Yeah... 5 tick better fr
Wym
Storing variables that way? Or the variables itself
the first one
Agreed ...
How do u like to do em btw
i dont use skript first of all
but local variables make the most since in 99% of cases
You can give kotlin a try
Cool, so RAM
Makes sense
ram and local are different
in skript terminology
? π€¨
local variables are _ variables
Oh ur still talking about skript, I was asking in general
ram variables are when you set something in the skript config so that a variable doesnt save to disk but is still global
oh
How do you like your Vars stored
in a deletable file sir
well duh yes ram unless it needs to be persistent is obviously better
So... A CSV
π
What about with persistence
then it highly depends on the project
how much data
the type of data
one size fits all is delusional
Makes sense, #off-topic rq
well, if they're persistently saved in relation to an entity or an item, you should use their respective PersistentDataContainer
PersistentDataContainer (paper-api 1.21.4-R0.1-SNAPSHOT API)
declaration: package: org.bukkit.persistence, interface: PersistentDataContainer
People throw this around in this discord a lot. Is there somewhere I can see some of these βright wing homophobicβ remarks?
Oh so it was specifically regarding you:mega_kek:
Well thatβs a primary source if Iβve ever seen one, GG and thanks for sharing
Iβm also permanently banned now
sounds like you're mad that he got ya good
