3 button blazer inspo
Hi guys! can anyone give me some inspiration regarding blazers that have 3 buttons in the front? single breasted. I see a bunch of them online when looking at vintage but I actually don't know what to wear with them or how to wear them, what the 'rules' are etc. if anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be nice. pic related

i assume we are talking about true 3-button blazers?
Personally a good rule of thumb is to keep away from everything where the uppermost button is above your nipples - super short lapel looks bad imo
you’d just wear them just whenever you might wear a two button one. buttons on a ‘sometimes, always, never’ rule from top to bottom
im not following so i might not be aware of the difference
to simplify the question i think i just need to see some fits with 3 button blazers that go hard
The jacket in the pic is a hard-3 as opposed to a 3-roll-2 style
Can you show me an example of a fit with a 3-roll-2 style that looks good? i think i know what you mean but just gave a crappy example

Like i've just been noticing blazers with 3 buttons instead of 2 and i just realised i dont have any with 3 and therefore it makes me wonder if it looks weird
They look very different. 3-roll-2 kinda just looks like a 2 button jacket to me

I personally don’t like hard 3 jackets so I don’t really have a contrasting pic on hand

anyway, i only have one pretty roomy true 3 button:
I think 3 buttons are nice for more wintery stuff because you can button them up more, which is nice when its chilly
