Production of items without conveyor output

I want to create items via an assembler or something else, but without them actually coming out on a conveyor It is enough not to connect a conveyor but then how: 1/ Know the number of items waiting in the output stock? 2/ decrement the number of items in this stock? Other solutions: 1/ use the example but which requires connecting a conveyor How to modify this example? 2/ Use Event Factory Collect Input, but it counts an input item every frame, not the output ones With blueprint please

the example mod counter is actually a terrible example we have been meaning to replace but haven't gotten something better made yet doing building logic in blueprint for anything that gets used in numbers is laggy, and I think that implementation can cause crashes due to belt multithreading if you want a machine that makes something from other things, you probably want to be using something with fgbuildablemanufacturer in the parent hierarchy I think they can still function without conveyor output ports as long as their inventories are still defined correctly

I agree, I don't like this way of doing things in the example. At first glance I don't see how to proceed, any leads?

Andre has a mod "No logistics at all". I would assume it should contain some of the logic you would need, no idea if it's blueprint or cpp based though. The source is not public so you'll have to ask him directly.
