DH Settings
Are there specific settings I should be using for DH to work the best it possibly can?

It seems to load really weirdly and have issues with caves and all showing.
or things like this happen:
/slowgen
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Lithium, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Only issue is, it doesnβt work with shaders at all for 1.21.4.
Thereβs nothing else in specific I should adjust?
Also, is it worth using c2me even if I donβt use DH at all?
does it actually help individually to where it makes a difference that much?
and out of curiousity, why does c2me make DH worse if it allows for better chunk loading?
Cause of a bug, the bug was fixed in the lates nightly, but the bot message stays until the nightly will have its full release
If you remove DH or use latest nightly there is visible benefit
so are you saying i should use c2me with the latest DH nightly build?
This is the error I got trying to use shaders btw:
dh_terrain.fsh: dh_terrain.fsh: 0(360) : error C1503: undefined variable "dhProjection"
0(361) : error C1503: undefined variable "dhProjectionInverse"
The shader is broken, that is Iris shader compilation error
Or you missmatched something
And Iris is looking for Non existance DH stuff

I'm using one of the supported ones: Complimentary reimagined
and i believe everything else is correct for versions
Then it will work
Latest version?
yes
try with just sodium, iris and the shader
