Random large bright patches in the distance

Every now and then I'll get these random bright patches (I assume it's to do with shadows) that either take forever to fix themselves or need a reload. How can I mitigate or stop them from showing up? Mod list included if it helps. Minecraft 1.20.4, Fabric loader 0.15.6.

can you try without starlight and see if it still happens you may need to explore new chunks for it to work correctly

Still there, and also noticed it happens way more after using/turning off shaders (specifically Photon in this case)

ah i see. it that case its probably not updating the lighting correctly, or is still busy updating the lighting after turning off the shaders the best solution would be to not turn on or off the shaders too much
