Is it possible to override the properties of buildings, or can you only make new buildings?
if I want to make a mod to change the types of fuels that drones can use, do I have to make like a "Drone Port 2.0" that allows that (making a whole new building type) or is there a way to override that property of the stock drone port?

thanks @Acxd I saw CDO's and thought that was probably where this would have to happen. I know it's preferable to make your own drone port, but if you're on an otherwise vanilla game there really shouldn't be any problem, right? It only becomes a problem when other mods do things that also override the drone port, then who wins, kinda thing?
who wins is who runs last. and who runs last is a question I don't think there isn't a complicated answer to.
You can add new supported fuel types without affecting existing fuel types, even if those were added by another mod
adding an allowed fuel to a drone port could be a decent CDO example for the docs; when you finish, could you please send info+screenshots about what you did?
