4028 fan spinning at 100% all the time
I have just completed my v core 4 hybrid build and I am having some trouble with my part cooling fan, it’s only going at 100% even when I change the slider in mainsail and during prints

That means your PWM wire isn't hooked up correctly or the wire has a connection issue
I have checked, and the pwm wire does have continuity with the right pin
Which pin?
PA8
Same as the config
Upload your config please
Because you're using a toolboard it assumes you are using that for your fan. If you want to use the octopus fan port you need to add:
That will override the assumption that your fan is hooked up to the toolboard
Ok, thanks, I’ll try that in the morning
this seems like it is for the hotend fan, im having troubles with the part cooling fan. anything about that?
updated
it is still constantly spinning
upload your latest printer.cfg
do i need a jumper on the pwm port?
yes
you need to supply it 12v
you shouldn't edit the ratos.cfg file - put all modifications in printer.cfg
because that ratos.cfg WILL get overwritten
oh ok ill try that, thanks
it is outputting pwm, and i have checked the wiring but it is still just on max power. is there something im missing?
fan might be broken.
this is the second fan i have tried so unless im unlucky then i dont think its that
well, then check your wiring again. It really is only 3 possibilities
* wiring is messed up causing PWM signal to not get to fan
* configuration is wrong
* fan is broken and ignoring PWM - it fails safely for a server use and goes to 100% fan
ok, thanks for your help, maybe ill order another fan, because the fan is getting a signal, its just not responding to it
Check all of your grounds in the electronics enclosure. I had the same problem and drove myself mad checking wiring, redoing crimps etc. I had one of the grounds on the PS that was not quite all the way tight and I swore I checked them all before powering on first time.
what about for idex PA8 works for t0 but what about t1? i assume a variable has to be set for it but i dont see where to do that
Please start your own post
did you get it working cause I'm lost on the pwm too , all the rmeaniing part is good for me only this shitty nidec is failing on me
note that ratos is overwerizten at restart you want to overide in pritner.cfg
fixed mine with the perfect replacement way more quieter 9GA0412P3H01 - Ventilateur axial DC 40x40x28mm 12V 32.4m³/h
