Is my V3.1 300 making too many Z adjustments?
Configuration: Stock RR V3.1 300, using Phaetus HF and Super pinda probe
Hi! I have a quick question about the Z adjustments my 3.1 does at the start of every print (when it probes 3 points of the bed, 3 times each).
It usually does that AT LEAST 2 times (sometimes 3) because the loerance is not 0.020000 at the first try, even though I don't even touch the bed after I'm done printing (apart from removing the PEI sheet to get my prints and putting it back on).
Is it normal?
How much does your printer do that?
Is there any other way to make that calibration with my current setup?
Would beacon/eddy change this situation by much?
Sorry for the amount of questions, I'd love to hear from you, any help is greatly appreciated.

Typically it does it once but doesn't require correction, incidentally it will do it twice.
However, removing and re-placing the PEI sheet will easily cause a deviation above that tolerance. I would say this is normal
Try doing z-tilt, shut down the machine, restart the machine, do the same homing & Z-tilt again without removing the PEI sheet inbetween.
if it still requires multiple runs, maybe some bolt is loose. If not, it's just because you moved the PEI sheet. Perhaps some small particles between the sheet and the magnetic base
