White DOT in water
Hi, i have stranges white dot (reflection probably) in water lod, i run DH with bliss shader. With the shader off, i have no issue, and if i turn off Specular Reflections for Water it goes away ( but obviously makes water looks worst )

What is your render distance?
512
and 12 chunks in game
tryed with bsl shader, no issue

Then try using a mod like noisium to speed up chunk gen so there isn't a gap between normal and lods or try decreasing your vanilla rd
If this only happens with Bliss, ask Bliss dev why
ok, so i digged and this is infact happening with every shader, its the seagrass lod, with bliss it looks white but with other shader it looks dark grey

closest shot i could get using 2 render distance and 30 fov
Are you using oculus or iris?

i tryed one version prior ( 1.20.6 ) and i have the same issue
Which Iris specifically?
Can you try Iris 1.7.5 on 1.20.1?
gonna try on 1.20.1
didnt try a version prior to 1.20.6
for now it seems i dont have this bug in 1.20.1

probably, i'm generating my world and start the adventure, by playing normaly i will notice if something is wrong for now everything seems fine

What setting do you have at blocks to ignore?
Remove kelp and seegrass from blocks to ignore
i tryed to set blocks to ignore to none instead of non-colliding but it doesnt change anything

the game looks almost perfect outside of this, this is haunting me haha
i've installed the latest dh beta and the latest iris ( from yesterday ) and doesnt have the issue, gonna try later with non beta dh to see if its the new dh fixing it or the new iris

that was probably an iris issue, i've reinstalled the normal dh release and it works properly, the seagrass lod now renders in a green color and under water if the grass is under water

as we can see on this screen the green squares are the seagrass lod, only the tall seagrass hitting the surface is shown
still doing it for some reason, sometime its the seagrass, all the time its the underwater cave entrance, and sometime its both
1.21.1 and i tryed different version of DH, using bliss shader ( other shader have the same issue but less visible )
no idea what the problem might be
Have you tried resetting your DH config?
yeah its default settings, again setting off specular reflection in shader settings fixes it but the water looks bad, and it does it with every shader
Can you enable LOD only mode and send a Screen Shot or a video from up close?
from up close it kinda looks like seagrass lod is replaced for some reason by a lod that reflects the water above it
when getting close it goes away in a circle shape around me, and as we can see it stills happen with water specular reflection off, it just looks darker and so almost invisible while actually playing

For disable the circle, disable blending and set overdraw prevention to 0.0
It looks like the seegrasss is being ingnored and replaced with air
Check the ignored blocks csv in the config and see if the sea grass in in there
in which folder is it

That is the last idea I have
yeah this is a really weird bug, adding sea grass and tall sea grass didnt fixed it ( i obviously restart lod generation ) but for some reason creating a new world fixes it but it did it in the past it was working and started to get "corrupted" by time, i'm gonna let my new world generate chunks and monitor it to see when it breaks
looks amazing when starting a new world, i hope somehow it stays like that

so it was the resource pack, and i didnt think it was because > if you load a new map, for some reason the bug doesnt appear, if i leave the game, launch it again, it does it, and if i disable the resource pack when lods are already loaded the second time, it doesnt fix it until i restart the game ( normal behavior since the lods are already loaded )
at some point i was like why does everytime i create a new map i dont have the bug
so i decided save and restart again, and saw the bug appear, then disabled the resource pack, restart, and it was gone
the resourcepack was modern arch
i deleted the seagrass texture and glow lichen, it fixed 99% of it but there was still some spot i couldnt find which block it was
using vanilla texture pack or faithful i have 0 issue
