Gotta need more info than this. How is it not working? What have you tried?
Sending logs might help
/logsstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.i had another post, the person helping just sort of got impatient with it, which is fine. ive started using Modrinth, i have a modpack called Better Adventures +, and the whole thing runs fine except for when DH is enabled. im not sure what i need to change to make it work. i tried all sorts of different amounts of dedicated ram, i tried changing settings inside the mod, but it seems whenever i try to increase my render distance, my game doesnt react well to it. one might assume my machine is just not powerful enough, but i run very graphic intense programs and games just fine on max settings. which leads me to think its some tweak in launch/calibration of the mod im unaware of
maybe, how much ram do you have allocated and what kind of graphics settings are we talking about here?
i can run WoW on max settings without any lag, games like BG3, DotA2 as well. i tried everything from 2g to 12g, nothing seemed to work once the chunks began to load. My card is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3801 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
the modpack is better adventures ++ actually. (2 +s)
And what about the graphics settings you're using?
in minecraft?
i understand that higher graphics settings means larger probability for graphical issues at a certain threshold. my point is i feel like my computer should easily be able to handle this based on other programs i run. which leads me to believe it is something needing to be tweaked in the DH settings, since the rest of the modpack/shaders are running fine
if youre using the default settings, it should work fine
thats why im confused lol. cause it didnt
What exact fps do you have without DH and what fps with DH?
Also why on earth you refuse to send any logs!?
i didnt know the command you were typing was asking me to send logs. and it varies. definitely worse with DH on
Average fps, any fps even an fps range would be useful
If you have 60 fps with no DH and 40 fps with DH it is perfectly normal
The command was not asking for logs directly, it summons a bot that ask for logs nicely

if i have it set to 30, 60, 120 or anything beyond, it is fine until the chunks start loading. then i go as low as 15 to start, then down to below 5, until my game is less than a frame a second
have you tried wth just DH?
i believe i did, i also tried no mods and just my render distance turned up various amounts in vanilla, same thing happened.
i find it hard to believe that my pc cant handle high render distance minecraft, which is why im confused/looking for help
what is your vanilla render distance?
16 to start, but i tried all different amounts
16 is fine, modded or not
Run MC with ONLY DH installed with 12 GB or RAM and GC flags
Create a new world and close MC when performance drops to below 5 fps
Then send logs
the flags didnt work when i tried them the ways you told me to
The last flags are so old there is no way for them to not work unless you're doing something wrong
probably
This is how it looks for me:
just use the old flags so that the JDK does not matter
performance isnt suffering except stuttering when i fly in one direction, but it is commensurate with chunk generation so that doesnt seem strange. RD is 12, LOD in DH is 128. not sure if that changes anything visually. should i input the flags in my modpack and see if that fixes things?
I doubt the flags will fix the lag, but what you see here might be a caused by a mod incompatibility with DH
A.K.A DH on its own works, the other mod on its own works, but combined they do not work. It was seen multiple times before
/binary search will be your best chance in that case
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
i got this when i tried to launch my modpack with the flags
Which flags?
You are probably trying to run too old JDK for those flags
Copy the path to JDK 21+ javaw.exe file and paste it into here:
just type in what you have there and change the user name>
?*
There is no username on the image, that is just the path to default Zulu JDK 23 installation
im confused
do i just type that exact thing in the box?
You can download it from here: https://www.azul.com/downloads/?version=java-23&package=jdk#zulu
Then you can just paste the same JDK path I have
Azul | Better Java Performance, Superior Java Support
Azul Downloads
before i do that, i noticed something interesting just now
i launched the modpack, and turned render distance up to max (no DH at all), and MC crashed and ran out of memory
One of the mods in you modpack might be a bit broken...
so i updated the pack, added DH back, tried to launch and got this
That already tells you what to do next, so I would advice to just read it
is it this?
ik lol, i was just showing you
is that what it means? or is silk-all something else
How am I supposed to know?
Install it and if it works then it is this
my b, figured you might know better than me, thats all
crashed before it opened
not having silk gives me an incompatability prompt, installing silk crashes the game before it launches
disabling veinminer makes everything fine
also, another interesting find, task manager says im already running zulu
send the logs of when the crash happens
anything stand out?
A potential solution has been determined, this may resolve your problem: - Install silk-all, any version. More details: - Mod 'Veinminer' (veinminer) 2.0.7 requires any version of silk-all, which is missing! Are you sure that is the correct log?
i went into the logs tab and thats what was in there
I guess the Silk mod you have might not be the correct one?
unless im in the wrong place
I need to go to sleep now though, goodnight
here is my f3 right before the game poops itself
Do you have Wilder Wilds mod?
i do not
