ComplementaryUnbound
Hello, i'm running this modpack: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/essentials-modpack
I have Oculus 1.7.0
Photon Shader v1.0a
Embeddium 0.3.31
Embeddium+ 1.2.13
Distant Horizons 2.1.2-a (the two other new ones for 1.20.1 makes me crash at boot).
I have access to the mod's menu, but when I start flying, I can clearly see that i'm running the vanilla max-distance.
(The title is wrong my bad, I had ComplementaryUnbound when I started writing the thread, now I have Photon Shader)

To use DH 2.2+ with Oculus, you need the experimental alpha 1.7.5 from here: https://github.com/Asek3/Oculus/actions/runs/11198312573/artifacts/2020008921

You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link./slowgen
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Faster Random, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)/shadersupport

I'll try this first, I get a 404 tho
Ah nvm in restarted lmao
Also try redownloading the shaders if nothing else works
Thats a good sign, it's the first time I get that
So, lets say i'm in my house and I start flying, I understand that I won't see the chunks the mod never saw, but why my house disappear when I was there just before
Seems like we gucci, ty
