According to the Nuxt roadmap, the release date for Nuxt 4 is currently scheduled for Q3 2024. This information can be found in the Nuxt Roadmap (https://nuxt.com/docs/community/roadmap) document, which shows:

It's important to note that this is a scheduled date and may be subject to change. The exact release date has not been firmly announced yet. The Nuxt upgrade guide (https://nuxt.com/docs/getting-started/upgrade#testing-nuxt-4) mentions that the release date is "to be announced" and depends on having enough time after Nitro's major release to be properly tested in the community.
While waiting for the official release, developers can already test many of Nuxt 4's breaking changes from Nuxt version 3.12+. The upgrade guide provides instructions on how to opt-in to Nuxt 4 behavior using the
compatibilityVersion setting in your Nuxt configuration.
