Unable to modify height fog settings
Hey!
I want to get my height fog to look denser at lower heights (sea level) and get less dense as altitudes rise
But, I can't get it to work that way, instead it is a constant solid fog all around
I'm using the latest nightly

@James Seibel (GMT-6) Hey I'm really sorry for tagging you, but tomorrow I'll be leaving my home for studies after which I won't be able to play MC for months so I just wanted to enjoy on my SMP by taking screenshots and just flying around, that's why I really want the height fog to somehow work as without it the world doesn't look that great
No, but nightly, I don't want to update to the latest nightly because of some bugs and new UI

I have fine tuned the normal non-height fog, but it shouldn't affect the height fog settings

I installed simple fog now, maybe it could help somehow
To my knowledge height fog should be working, however I don't know what settings to tweak to make it work (someone else added it a while back).
That being said no other mods should affect DH fog since DH does all our own rendering.

No matter what height I set it to, the fog is always at all y levels
That is why I never got good results, I think the height is your height as theplayer, so the higher you go the more fog there is, though I might be very wrong here

Are you sure? I'm never able to get the fog to work according to the height, it always works as far fog, it feels like height doesn't have any effect on the fog thickness no matter what setting I've set it on

Yeah, the height fog is broken
Or it requires a restart and I don't have time to test it
Disabling normal fog and using only height fog can easily show it
Setting height fog on above camera, on above set height and from the bottom to the top of the world has no visible difference
I don't think it ever made a difference as far as I remember
Still at least the height fog used to be working how it was supposed to, denser at lower heights, now it's the same everywhere
