Whitesville vs. Velva Sheen White 2-Pack Shirts
Just wanted to hear some more opinions on both brands, cannot decide which one to pick.

If you order from a Japanese retailer, Whitesville is cheaper
Whitesville cheaper if purchased in Japan? I have friends that go to Japan yearly, tempted to ask them to pick me up a pack next time they go
I see, how does Whitesville fit in the shoulders? I've seen the majority of people wearing it have slight shoulder droop which I'm not a fan of

You just have to check out the measurements for both - keeping in mind that you should expect some shrinkage. Idk exactly what you mean tbh, maybe if you send a pic I can give more info
Depends how wide your shoulders are compared to the pattern in the size you need.
Correct, I am talking about fit, but I wasn't talking about sizing necessarily. Everything I've seen, Whitesville is comparatively much wider by 1 to 1.5 inches from the measurements I've seen online compared to VS. I guess what I'm asking is if/how much the shoulder's shrink
Many people I've seen wearing Whitesville have this type of shoulder drop across the board. I'm not sure if Whitesville is going for the drooped look or if everyone I've seen just has incredibly small shoulders. But even the online measurements I've seen from multiple stores suggest that it would have some shoulder drop
I’m pretty sure it’s not intentional - more like the chest on the shirts being pretty small compared to the shoulder - so people size up, I guess.
Tbf this is kind of a repro cut and correctly sized in the shoulders they’d be pretty much skin tight.
Well I guess the question I'm getting at is Velva Sheen or Whitesville better for use as an actual undershirt as they were intended?
Because from what I've been able to see, Velva Sheen's measurements seem much closer to something like vintage Hanes which were used originally as undershirts
Both feel like overkill if you're buying it to wear as an undershirt. You seem to have specific criteria though and an idea of which fits it better though so I'd trust your gut.
Yeah for an undershirt it’s pretty overkill tbh (also I’d recommend buzz Rickson’s govt issue tees in that price range)
Maybe order from somewhere you can return at first - trying them on will be the only way to really figure it out
Well, I'd like to wear as both. Primarily as just a usual plain white tee and as an undershirt for certain things.
Is VS nor Whitesville applicable to being an undershirt?
I have some Hanes tees that I bought from Walmart that I currently use as an undershirt sometimes, but primarily I wear them standalone
