goop on nozzle after prime blob
I get this a lot. How much depends on the filament, and probably temperature.

after an hour of printing most of the filament from the prime blob will have wiped off, though you can see the remains of it still. (see marked image)
The excess filament on the outside of the nozzle tends to cause messy first layers as that filament is slowly dragged off during the print.

spray the nozzle with pam no-stick spray before the print? 😄
Maybe to high temps for that filament. I always get everything remaining in the blob with no coatings at all
it's not nearly as bad with this filament (overture silk copper, the other is overture matte white. Both are PLA)
