✅ What is the free alternative to jet brains resharper ?
What are the best extensions for development in c#, visual studio. #help

I mean, if you want the real deal - Jetbrains Rider is free now
Or are you looking for VS extensions exclusively?
we've used SonarLint
but I've no idea how far Resharper goes
depends what you are looking for,
visual studio has to some extend the same features, maybe not as fleshed out but good enough to get by

Rider is not free for commercial use and I think thats crucial
Just to add this info.
How would they even know actually?
there are ways to make educated guesses but if you dont tell them yourself they cant be 100% sure..
-telemetry
-data used to register acounts
-ipaddresses
etc.
also the risk to be caught breaking the license isnt worth it for bigger legitimate companies.
and the small ones (1-2people) will most likely fall between the gaps
tbh there are tons of small companies that use cracked software..xD
The purpose is to rename in multiple places at once or code smells or etc.,
Renaming is something that every IDE can do.
renaming is ctrl+r+r
codesmells via analyzers
so, you recommend to ignore license because "they cant be 100% sure"? Or even use cracked software?
i dont recommend anything

I totally agree with this. If we use resharper in vs, It is taking time to load everything and I feel the slowness. I spoke to one of the dev here and he suggested something to me but I missed it. He's from Canada, currently lives in the Philippines and suggested to me an extension that works better.
