Chonk Triple Z Beta testing. Need help
Here is a video of the Chonk carrying out z tilt. Im not sure if your 170mm limitation is causing this but the first touch of the rear only during z tilt does is grind. I am not see anything touch. The right side doesnt home in the same y distance compared to the left like my v-core. Just noting that. Also the printer is layer shifting pretty bad at the moment. Any insight on that would be greatly at. I thought it may be from the initial grind but it carries all the way through the print. I have my belt on the tighter end at the moment compared to my sloppy 500.

ignore the layer shifting I had a loose pulley on the x
you need to chaneg your z-tilt positions int he printer.cfg
and the grinding?
changing the rear z-tilt point makes sure you do not hit the back extrusion anymore
this is what causes the grinding
Ok I am not near my printer now so cant access my config.
I didn't see that option as a user
you need to make that change in the printer.cfg
manually
I was just hoping as the guinea pig to relay over the symptoms and we add it to the config so everyone moving forward doesnt need to individually make a correction
remember how i said there wasn't space and that i wanted to llimit Y max?
this is why
its not hitting the frame though which was your worry as I have my toolboard above the frame. I haven't been able to mess with the printer all week though but I am back home now.
didn't you limit mine though?
I can't limit something for you specifically.
Everyone gets every change to RatOS
I limited initially, but you said that wasn't necessary
what have you set your position_endstop/min to on [stepper_y] ?
I cant get the 4028 to work either
I didnt set anything other than what you have programmed so far
you prolly need to adjust it as Y180 should not crash
the default is -15, it should probably be higher than that.
Only way to set it accurately is to check if the positions within the build plate is correct.
it's prolly more like -10 in your case?
Im away from the printer now but i will check tomorrow. my part cooling fan also isnt working. On the ebb42 it worked. I am also having the same issue on my vc4 with the same branded fan. All local shops are sold out of 4028's. I cannot get a brand name fan until next week to test against
Im away from the printer now but i will check tomorrow. my part cooling fan also isnt working.I can't do anything about that without a debug zip and i need to know how you've wired it.
I took one before I left.
I have the blue pwm wire hooked up to the PA10 wire on the part fan. Red and black ran to a 12v 2 pin on the board
where would this be? in printer.cfg?
yes
Config is correct. That should work.
If it doesn't, then either there's an issue with your wiring, or your fan.
so change 180 to 170?
for position max or you want me to change the endstop from -15 to -10
No, just change the position_min and position_endstop on Y, i just think your coordinate system is offset a few mm relative to your build plate.
change them both from -15 to -10?
yes
