Mouse clicks cause lag spikes
So, super weird situation going on for me. Because of the mods I am playing with, I have to use 2.1.0a instead of newer versions of the mod. Mostly because I want forge shaders and valkyrien skies so that I can use trackways. I am running 1.20.1 as well. I also have a bit of a hefty pack, but I did confirm it is distant horizons because the issue goes away when I removed the mod.
So basically, when I right click on any block, regardless if it does anything or not, or if I left click a block to break it, I experience an instant lag spike. This doesn't happen with mobs or the air. So imagine a sharp lag spike where frames go from 100 to 0 and then back to 100 every time you right click a block or break a block.
As I said, I removed distant horizons and the issue went away. I also ran spark and saw some stuff in there that pointed at distant horizons. I will post two spark logs to show what I mean. There was absolutely nothing in either the debug log or the log that shed any light, other than it saying there was a lag spike with the ticks. If you still want me to post the logs/debug, I will
But yeah, if anyone knows a fix, I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. I didn't know if the fix would be a config change or some other tweak I need to make.

is it normal that I can't see my original message for this forum? Probably a discord glitch
I restarted discord and I see it now lol
this was the line that caught my attention the most when reviewing the spark link. The two spark links are different. One of them, I am only right clicking, the other I am doing both. Ths is from the only right clicking profiler
my task manager doesn't seem to be wigging out either. I am not seeing my cpu spike in usage and my memory is fine. Same with my gpu
I tested out just remaining in one spot long enough, and it seems like in this very small spot, the issue goes away, but if I move beyond the small building I am in and begin loading a chunk or two, it comes back
but it is also pretty hit or miss, with the issue coming back out of no where sometimes even in this small building that I have stayed in to let lods gen
Try reducing the CPU load in DH settings
A bug like this was fixed a while ago. Can you try updating oculus to this version: https://github.com/Asek3/Oculus/actions/runs/11198312573/artifacts/2020008921 (you need to be logged in)
Update DH to 2.2.1, and try again
I can't update DH to 2.2.1 because of trackwork
that didn't seem to fix it
that's probably your issue tho
Why?
Trackwork uses Valkyrien skies
I used Valkyrien Skies with DH 2.3 couple of days ago
on fabric 1.20.1
2.2.1 should work too
I use forge
