Feeling Weejuns heel block underfoot?

I recently got a pair of vintage Weejuns. I really love them, but one thing that bothers me is that I can clearly feel the heel block/cap under my foot. The edge (circled in red in the picture) of it digs into the bottom of my foot. Is this normal? Considering it’s just a leather outsole, I guess it makes sense that I can feel it.
