Option 'endstop_pin' in section 'stepper_x' must be specified
Setting up my Chonk and I am trying to figure this out. I searched and nothing came up. I have sensorless homing selected in the configurator.

Do you have a habit of just cutting power to your printer instead of shutting it down properly?

Update everything starting (always) with RatOS.
The system should set the pin as virtual endstop
After updating, re-run the configurator
Do you mind sharing printer.cfg and RatOs.cfg?
reflash the board or just go to the final step and save?
It didn't work for me
I tried three toolheads and neither of them connected to flash to the dfu. I had this issue on my vc3.1 500 and somebody said that is normal and it saves it anyways and runs fine which is did for me on my other build.
I have re-run the configurator three times now after updating everything and still the same error.
anyone?
i'm gonna need a debug zip, this is not a board flashing issue
I got it
it wont let me send the whole file at once on here
oh that's huge
how big is it?
Alternatively, can you show me what you picked in the hardware configurator for endstops?
I chose sensorless and skrat
its not the size I can't select the entire folder and uopload on here it just keeps opening up deeper into the file
Aight that matches:
[include sensorless-homing-x.cfg]
[include sensorless-homing-y.cfg]
Those are already there. They set the diag pins on your x and y
Can you show me those 2 files?
it's a zip file
that you download from the configurator (there's a link in the sidebar)
Just upload the zip file
im on a mac. It didn't give me a zip file
it did
it doesn't care what platform you're on 😄
im getting errors now uploading them here
can I email it to you?
yes, because you're uploading the contents of the zip file (you likely extracted it)
You can't email a folder either
I think my computer did it automatically
That results in a .zip file that gets downloaded
It's not extracted automatically
before you do anything else after that has been downloaded, go to discord and click the plus
then upload the zip file
If you open it through your browser it may extract it.
I forget how mac's "help" you sometimes 😂.
I am not extracting it. Usually I see zip files but its downloading to a normal file for me
This is the RatOS image file downloaded from github, it's not the debug zip that i just pointed to
(the one you highlighted)
this is right, but this has been extracted (that doesn't happen automatically only when you open the file, so don't do that when you download it)
Also sort your downloaded files by date it's much easier to navigate
I am literally doing exactly what youre saying. I am not opening the file.
It goes straight to my downloads folder in that format. I am not opening it
Interesting, and you can't open that in discord?
Try another browser, it's probably some weird safari setting somewhere
Ah, yes it is
that worked
I reformatted my SD card and reflashed the image then did the config with no issue
Oh okay so you're good to go now?
Just went through the debug.zip and for some reason both your sensorless-homing configs are empty (and that's causing the problem)

Looks like corruption, which can if the raspberry pi isn't shut down properly (use the mainsail menu in the top right corner)
I may have
by may I mean everytime
Right that would explain the empty files
Shut it down properly and it won't go bad on you 🙂
now I know
