unable to ssh in now!?!
I recently moved my printer to a different room in the house. I can access on web/mainsail but am unable to ssh into the pi. RatOS v2.0.2-36-g230929e3, klipper v0.12.0-229-g589bd64c, mainsail v2.12.0,
Distro: RatOS v 2.0.2 (bullseye)...any idea why I'm all of the sudden unable to ssh in on Windows or Mac.
Access denied I've changed nothing on the pi and have been ssh in for over a year...any suggestions on how to fix this?4 Replies
Are you using IP or hostname to access?

to be clear I can access Mainsail with the IP address but I cannot ssh in to the pi because it appears that my password is incorrect, but I also cannot login to the pi locally as well...I never changed the password for the account. Looks like I may need to save all my data and reprovision the os, unless there is a better solution here
I've had drop outs where I lose mainsail web, and ssh fails. The printer kept printing though. ssh apparently forgot my public key & password too. The most noticeable thing was mDNS failed as printer.local became unknown.
A reboot from the power menu fixed it. Had this happen a couple of times. It's not reoccurred since I set core affinity to segregate some processes.
So there's something going on. Not sure if nuking the system would prevent it from happening again.
