Designer/Good Quality Brown Jackets/Cardigans

As I (kind of) said earlier (https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1255197478312087672/1294399434876129280), a common element in my fashion inspiration folder has been brown cardigans or jackets. Some examples of what I'm thinking of: https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1292904242310283285 https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1293209047717253214 Budget: Up to £500 (up than my usual budget, because Christmas is coming up :linkSanta: ) Location: UK. I don't mind in-person/online. I can wait for sales. I'm fine with second hand.

the blazer was secondhand and from what i can tell is 70s-era dillards (us dept store) ebay is your best bet, and beyond the usual suspects for brands (brooks brothers, polo ralph lauren), i'd keep an eye out for kuppenheimer, sears mens shop, inc, and saddlebred.

I know that seeing lots of new clothes is really exciting and you want all of it. My advice would be to really slow down a little, work on the inspo and get a solid idea of how you want to dress before committing to expensive items. Especially as beans said those two items are super different and it's hard for me to picture a wardrobe where they both work together.

Just to be clear, I'm not trying to put a downer on you at all. It's cool to see someone excited about something like this, just speaking from experience I've bought my fair share of things that I later regretted and had to sell on.

regarding tailoring specifically, it can be a big investment in time and/or money to get the exact right thing exactly to your tastes from experience it's a source of frustration for many and before taking the leap and risk killing your enthusiasm entirely, i'd really see how a blazer (or how any of these big purchases) fit into your life

My main advice on a jacket would be to narrow down your inspo a bit more and/or shop 2nd hand for some really cheap stuff with the idea being that you're going to not love everything you try. 500 is a lot to spend without a v clear idea of what you want. But 100-200 on a few different jackets from thrift stores/ebay is much better

yeah, working on my inspo folders would be the cheapest option but then i'm fine with looking at second hand stores For the inspo folder, I do have a bit of doubt as to whether it's fine to save this photo over in #waywt for the folder. I also want to get more fashion stuff on my Instagram home page and I've barely got any more. 🤔 It's late @ night for me. I'll work on it in the morning. One obvious solution though could be finding other sources of inspiration :linkBow:
