Octopus V1.1 doesn't want to flash / get recognized by RatOS 2.1.X

Hi, earlier during my V-Core 4 build I accidentally installed RatOS 2.0.X. Now I reflashed the SD-Card with 2.1.X, and am trying to configure it. But for some reason no matter what I try, flashing the octopus doesn't seem to work in the configuration wizard. Automatic flashing says there is no board detected. In the DFU overview I can get it to detect it with the BIOS0 header, and then half a minute or so after pressing flash it simply shows the same, initial, DFU screen, as if it did nothing and can't detect it. Pressing "Check Board Status" in the SD-Card section doesn't do anything, when in 2.0.X it did work for me. Could this be related to all the wiring being connected to the Octopus already now? I did already compile the firmware and put it on the SD-Card of the Octopus. When pressing the unidentified board option, it allows me to flash the board, but then I get the error shown in the image. I tried updating all the dependencies, and eventually I manually forced the conf wizard to the 3rd step through the URL and finished setting the rest up succesfully (toolboard etc). But in the dashboard I still get the same error:
Klipper reports: ERROR
Unknown config object 'bed_mesh'

Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the "RESTART" command ...
Klipper reports: ERROR
Unknown config object 'bed_mesh'

I actually am kind of at a loss at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'll look at it again in a few hours. Thanks!

yes, disconnect everything from your board is a good first step.

It however did seem to flash from SD-Card. As it renamed it to FIRMWARE.CUR Yet it doesnt let me through to the next configuration step. So annoying, it literally just wont detect the board

Disconnected all. Retried flashing by SD-Card. It correctly flashed. Yet didnt detect it when I pressed "check status". It was listed under "unidentified boards" so decided to give that a go. Still the same error
