Are you using chunky or other pregeneration mods?
I did, but then it crashed so I stopped using it
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
Does this happen on a new world?
If not, its caused by the above
I'm not sure? I've been generating this one for a bit
I turned off distant generation when running chunky
then I turned it back on after chunky crashed and I stopped using it
Can you send logs? Could contain other useful information
it did happen before I used chunky as well I think
/logstored
You should send your
latest.log
file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are located in the .minecraft/logs
directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save
and send the link.the holes change as I move around, and they only appeared after I moved
if I move towards the ungenerated chunks to generate them, the chunks behind me turn into holes
That only works sometimes, only disabling DH (removing from the mods folder) fixes this
That is 1 of the reasons that chunky should be 35% slower then DH generator
is there any way I can fix the holes now? Or do I have to regenerate this section completely?
Sometimes they fix with time
If they won't, you can go to them and place/destory a couple of blocks to trigger an update
that's a lot of chunks...!
You can try using Axiom or Worldedit to trigger multiple chunk updates at once, but IDK if it will work
I just downgraded to 1.20.1 for iris support and it just fixed itself
yay
