If I use https://modrinth.com/plugin/chunky and https://github.com/Jckf/DH-Support?tab=readme-ov-file
To do configuration generation, will I get the dh pre-file immediately when I log into the server?

Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
1. this
Second no
Chunky does not generate DH LODs
The server will need to generate them after chunky finishes
To avoid any holes, remove DH while chunky is running
Using Chunky for generation should also be ~35% slower than DH generator
So best thing to do is load the server, join it on 1 account
Set the RD on that account to, e.g. 1024
Wait until server generates it all
Then invite other players to join
Oh oh! Okay, I probably understand.
I'll try it right now
Also this might be helpful
/slowgen
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium and Faster Random, these mods can improve generation speed by a couple percent.
Make sure to remove the C2ME mod as it significantly slows down DH chunk generation by up to 35%.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Of course do everything on the server
oh ok , Oh my God, I was stupid enough to pretend C2ME
Is this setting on the client side?
Yes, that is the setting
As long as this account will be connected to the server and the server side connection works properly
The server should start generating the LODs in 1024 chunks radius
It should take over 28 h to fully generate this RD
But nothing stops you from starting playing earlier
Does this mean the startup is not successful(?
no problem
The DH version you are using on the client does not have the server side support
o Thank you!
Either use DH 2.3 with merged server side support that support only Iris 1.8+
Or DH 2.1.3a server side in order to stay on Iris 1.7.x
Server version 1.20.1 does not have iris 1.8 or above. Now I have to look for cross-version and iris dh to cooperate with each other again:)
I'm going to deal with the d mod conflicts.
Iris 1.8 for MC 1.20.1 can be found on Iris DC server
Oh, great!, it worked successfully
Thank you for explaining in such detail how to use it
I waited for a while and found that she didn't seem to be working.🤡
(cpu )
It's still the same as what you said, it will take a very long time
You need to use dh 2.3, the nightly build. The version you're using does not have serverside support
