VC400 Hybrid belts kicking my butt and taking my lunch money
Tuning my Hybrid belts is becoming quite the ordeal. Stock coreXY mzv Y acceleration is about 3700, adding y belts only takes it up to 4200, but the response is terrible. If I do tune the y belts to make an acceptable graph, the acceleration will still sit at around 4000, but the belts are just tightened with finger strength, nothing more. I tried tuning with the pinned macro isolating the y belts, but I can't tighten or loosen the belts to get the response to be anywhere close to matching.
first 3 added pics are during core xy. Last few pics are during hybrid calibration

Solved it. The hybrid belts needed to be much tighter than I had initially. I bottomed out one of my tensioners.

Hybrid belts will be tighter than coreXY belts. They are tuned more like Cartesian belts. From my understanding that is why you see the split y spikes. One of the spikes is the coreXY belts Y spike and one is the hybrid belts Y spike. Once you tighten up the hybrid enough they spike should merge into a single spike. How tight are your belts when you say finger strength?
not really too sure how to quantify, don't have anything to measure the torque. I take my thumb and index on the allen key and turn the screw until I can't turn it anymore. The belts are taut, but aren't overtightened. I tried to tighten the right belt to way more than feels safe, but the spike won't merge. The right belt at that point feels rigid.
I also don't really have a reference for what is too tight or too loose for the hybrid belts.
Before this, I also rebelted the whole machine, made sure the belt lengths are as equal and ran as equal as I can get them.
