Using DH and small handful of mods, need performance help
I dont know if DH is causing this or not, but im really not sure where else to go. despite my high end setup giving minecraft 10gb of ram allocated and high priority in windows settings, its not performing well with DH plus the most basic shaders possible (BVS directly from the compatability thread.) I may just have too many different optimization mods fighting eachother, but i dont know where else to go or look to make this more managable. Im often noticing it gets worse when i face a certain direction too? The first screenshot is looking one way with better peformance, helped by idling while i typed this, the other way tanks everything as seen in second screenshot

Can you try with just dh, iris and dependencies and see what fps you're getting in the exact same scene?

sure
(sorry went to get a drink)
which mods are the dependencies for those two? i dont remember offhand
okay, i got it
the framerate does seem to have improved and works
suppose i should start adding other things until i run into issues
when your here, theres also one other DH oddity im noticing
i have the noise settings on but the lods are still flat colored
Shaders override the noise texture from DH
If there is no DH noise texture setting in shader's settings you can make a feature request to the shader dev and/or chage the shader
ooooh, okay
