This is a Bliss issue, there are 5 known potential fixes:
- Turn shaders off and back on (repeat after each next fix)
- Set transparency to complete in DH settings
- Decrease or increase the DH RD by 2 - 8 chunks
- Restart the game after applying all the previous fixes
- Change the shader to different one
Thanks !
can you make a screenshot like that one, but without the hand and hotbar? i think that one is a lot more clear
Is there also any way to see how far DH has got generating LODs as my 24 threads are still at 100% even though i pre-generatedd 5000 radius using Chunky ?
wwill do
there is no way you generated 5000 chunks, it simply takes too long. chunky calculated its distance in blocks, so you generated a radius of 5000 blocks so 312 chunks
yea it was a 5000 radius 🙂
while there is no way to see how far DH is, you can see in f3 if its still busy
This part ?

Also unfortunatly my game crashed after opening the ticket so i tried ur fix and it worked for now, if it happens again though ill get u a clear screenshot without the hand or bar
yea there
no worries, if you cant reproduce the image, thats fine
would u recomend generating more with chunky or should 5000 radius be fine ?
depends on what you want and how long you want to wait
you can leave it generating overnight if you want to
also, /chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
chunky is not necessary
ideally im going to move the world over to a server too
yea i turned off DH while i ran chunky 🙂
alright, if you know how stuff works and what youre doing, thats good
i only knew that as i saw a few people had the same problem ahhaa, glad i diddnt waste 8 hours generating chunks for it to not wwork 🤣
Is the process of moving the world over to a server as simple as a copy and paste or will it mess up the world save ?
Copy and paste should be enough
ty both for your help i really appreciate it 👍
np!
Does it matter what quality preset i generate the LODs in ?
Nope doesn't matter
is there any way to increase how many LOD's are pre-generated ?
If you mean distance, turn up your DH render distance as DH will generate chunks up until that limit. If you mean speed:
/slowgen
World generation in general is quite slow, if you want to speed it up:
Install Noisium, Lithium and C2ME(DH 2.3.0+). These mods can improve generation speed by a bit, but it will still not be fast.
Increase
CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)Wait a second
That message is months old
Why did you show this to me now, discord
