When Do You Buy Clothes for the Season? - Topic of the day 9/11/24
Exactly what it says on the tin - do you plan and buy things in advance or wait until there's a want or need to buy something? What factors lead you to choose one or the other? What potential downsides are there for buying early or buying in the moment?

At the end of season sales obv.
I find end of season sales super stressful but perhaps I should
when i see something i want i get it assuming i can afford it. planning is too hard
i get brainrot about something specific and hunt for it until i'm satisfied then move onto the next thing without regard to season
Its less important when thrifting fortunately.
this week: sweater so itchy i cry
next week: versace swimtrunk
Yeah what sal said I buy clothes when I fall in love with them
Not when I’m going to wear them
Like a shark, always moving forward buying, can't stop or I'll die.
wait i forgot about this option, i do this aswell
Half a year/a season up front I think about what I want to wear/express and I start to slowly transition into that wardrobe/aesthetic. I have already been collecting clothes for over 10 years so I basically already have a solid fall wardrobe I just want to add some details
last fall it was princess dianacore, this summer it was rockstar chic and now I want to go for indiana jones office day autumn
Vtg woolrich
(for the swimtrunk obv)
i got the jan jan turtleneck and my partner stole it because it's a little small on me
got my cry in now it's onto the trunks
I bought a wool cardigan in the dead of 100° summer because it was cute who cares about seasons
Whenever I want, and with little to no methodology
Usually when I'm eager for the weather to change and want to convince myself it's almost fall/spring
