LOD Distance Help
Is there any way what so ever to increase the distance of that blocks render with normal quality? I've tried messing around with the settings but no matter how high I set stuff, it renders that low quality "blurry block with the right color" once I'm like a few hundred blocks away. I'm only use DH and Iris+Sodium with ComplementaryUnbound shader pack, but this happens even with no shader packs enabled.

Increase the vanilla rendering distance.
I have it at 32 chunks already, thats all I can right?
So we're in the same boat! :P Yes.
Hahaha
Optifine supports a maximum of 64 chunks, so it's probably just a matter of changing the slider's max value. In other words, there might be a Fabric mod out there that does the same.
Oh interesting ok, I'm on neoforge though
I havent set up optifine either and idk if i want to haha
I have Iris rn though
Maybe there's a Forge mod that increases it, then.
If you have C2ME installed, you can push up to 64 real chunks, however, you'll be slowing down Distant Horizons generation speed by a considerable amount.
35% to be specific
Bobby mod can help but it has random per user FPS decrease between 0 and 70%
And I don’t know if Sodium Extra didn’t expand the slider
NVIDIUM mod also allowes for slider override in it’s settings
But you will have to load those chunks first
As NVIDIUM won’t load them on its own
Same question, bot now changed to fabric. Is it possible to increase over 32 chanks?
Same answer as before
Btw, what's your resolution? 1k? 2k? 4k?
3440x1440
Ah, so superwide 2K.
Yeah, I'm on 4K, so the LODs really bleed through, and look bad.
It seems as if they used 1K to decide on the quality levels.
Yeahh ok that makes sense. It's still much better than having fog for sure though. Would be so sick if they could make it work somewhat similar to the Bobby render distance mod. They're sort of fundamentally different though. I think DH is less prone to become a problem down the road, where as Bobby seems like it would inevitably end up taking a lot of resources.
Fog? That's a separate issue.
No I'm saying its better than vanilla just having fog
Ah
