Could use some guidance on the psd graphs. VC4 500

Having trouble with my resonance and tension in the belts and I’m not sure what to look for and what to adjust. I get that clicking noise in my left stepper if I tighten too much. I see some people with max psd in the 4-5 range but mine seem to start clicking if I do more than 3. Will have to double check the exact value, I just hate hearing that sound so avoid tightening too much. I can’t seem to get the blue line to match up with orange no matter if I tighten or loosen either side. They just vary in maximums and difference but orange is always higher than blue. Maybe I need to focus on getting the first spike before that. Lastly is the jump from 115 to 135. I know it’s a tool head issue but can’t seem to figure out what exactly it is. I also have that weird rise towards the end of the graph. Not sure what to loosen, tighten, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you derack the gantry? Are the belts the exact same length between the clamps?

I looked up a video for deracking. I did some of those things but could definitely do some more. I definitely feel a resistance towards the back. I will try this out when I get home. Belts are exactly the same though, double and triple checked them each time I made a cut. Also the belt teeth are lined up on the exact same clamp teeth. On the deracking subject as well. That’s probably my issue with my belts riding up and down the motor pulley as I move the gantry back and forth. Plus I have some resistance towards the back.

You got the one grub screw on the flat spot of the shaft already? If so loosen it to where it can move a little side to side but not enough to slide off the flat spot and take the other one fully out that way the pulley can move up or down when the belt pushes on the lip part If it's not in a flat spot you can just take them both out and line it up later 🤣 it's a pain in the but to get lined up but that way you know the one has a really good grip

Yeah made sure I got it on the flat part. Last night I tried resetting it on the flat part again. I’m gonna go through this video tonight and see where it gets me. I’m hoping I don’t have any of my stacks too tight. https://youtu.be/cOn6u9kXvy0?feature=shared

I was fortunate enough to have a 24”/60cm machinist caliper too which allowed me to adjust all my extrusions precisely. Made sure all my top extrusions were flush then used the caliper to make sure all of the middle extrusions were equal distance from the top. It’s better than a tape measure/ruler since I can lock it into place.

You should get some nice prints then
