Bad Performance on Linux
Even with the same settings or lower settings on linux, the performance is still very poor. Were talking an average of 100fps on windows but on linux ubuntu, its 34fps. cant even reach 70fps. Anyone know how to fix that issue?

There should not be any difference between windows and linux. Are you sure everything is the same? Same amount of allocated ram? Same world where the world gen has completed on both?
If you are using a radeon GPU then you may have the same issue as me.
Try installing "Immediately Fast", That fixed some of the performance issues for me. Also going back to DH 2.1.
Linux you might have to configure to let java use more ram
Via modifying the command line args passed when minecraft starts or some other method
But somewhere in the command line you will probably see something along the lines of "<opt><opt>2G" bump that 2G up to a number your system can handle. You're basically telling java its max heap size in Gigabytes
And 2G means 2 gigabytes
already allowing 14GB
Yes. 14GB on both, same exported profile from atlauncher. so also exact same options. Still, with DH enabled the performance is very worse
What distro and gpu are you using
OP already mentions ubuntu
What gpu
I more specifically wanted to know what version. Ubuntu 20.04 22.04, pop!, mint, etc
ubuntu 24.04.01 rx6750xt
It appears these performance issues are very common for people on Linux distribution with a Radeon GPU.
Indeed

I posted that originally but deleted after I want to get more info.
