The LOD's have FOG, how can I disable them?
And is there any YouTube tutorial you recommend so I can learn how to experiment with the settings? I put 32 chunks in low quality and my Intel 5 with GTX 750 is about to explode at 5 render distance.

You just need to go into dh config and click disable vanilla fog or use something like sodium which automatically disables it
/fog
You can remove fog in the config at: Advanced > Graphics > Fog > "Disable vanilla fog" or with mods like Sodium Extras, Optifine, or some other fog removal mod.
If the fog is still there and you have BCLib installed you’ll have to disable BCLib’s fog.
That is for vanilla fog /\
For DH fog look in DH settings

Every system is different, so while we can't say exactly what will work best for you, here area few suggestions:
GPU
- For integrated and low end laptop GPU's
- Start with a DH render distance of about 64
- You may need to drop the vertical and horizontal quality settings
- For mid to low end desktop GPU's
- The default settings should be a good starting point
CPU
- Less than 4 Cores
- Disable the world generator
- Drop the thread config to 1 thread for each option
- DH render distance shouldn't affect CPU load
- 6-8 Cores
- The default settings should be a good starting point
If you need additional help tweaking performance, the FAQ has additional tips and tricks, or you can create a thread in #help-me if you have a specific issue.
Try vanilla RD of 12 and DH RD of 256 with quality medium
If you have flying structures set the vertical quality to high
Tuning the noise texture might also help
see: #Increase default noise (both intensity and steps)
(Screenshots there have also tuned vanilla and DH fog)
wow, thx a loot
no problem 😁
