a lot of server lag in singleplayer
i know that in sp there is a local server running but the lag and input delay is a bit annoying is there a setting i can change to make it so there is less lag

From DH's side, you can decrease
CPU Load or disable Distant Generation entirely to reduce lag
How much RAM do you have allocated?
Make sure you're using performance mods like Sodium, Lithium, and the other whole bunch
What vanilla render distance are you using? Its recommended to set it to about 12 when using DHi am using a lot of performance mods 6 and a half gigs of ram and 20 render distance
As majo24 said, Try setting your CPU Load to 'Low Impact'
The input delay you're describing is usually caused by DH using more threads than your CPU has available, leaving MC without temporal access to a thread, delaying your inputs. Complicated stuff you don't need to understand.
If that doesn't work, then try reducing your render distance to what majo24 recommended to reduce the load on MC and DH.
