Smoothing in DH chunks

Having this issue where DH chunks have this smoothed textures - since the server distance is only 5, this makes for a weird loading when moving around. Friend with same plugin & config on same server does not have this issue - they have texture-perfect DH chunks. Am I missing something?

What you're seeing is the entire point of DH, LODs with less details than normal chunks. Try out Bobby, its a mod that allows for greater render distances than the servers render distance
