Distant Horizons Multiplayer Mod
Is there a way to install the Distant Horizons multiplayer mod (nightly build) on Aternos because it’s not available in their modpack?

The serverside fork won't be released on any mod hosting platforms.
Since aternos doesn't support FTP or other stuff, theres no way to get the serverside fork on an aternos server
When is the alpha version of Distant Horizons Multiplayer version expected to be released? I’m experiencing very slow chunk loading in the single-player mode of Distant Horizons. I’ve already increased CPU load to aggressive and changed overdraw prevention settings for shaders ( using iris 1.8 ), but its not helping.
./eta
frick
stupid bot
i cant type /eta because that will try to autocomplete
In DH 2.3
./eta
The next version of Distant Horizons will come out sometime between now and the year 4096.
In other words: we have no idea.
there we go
all for a stupid joke
Can I generate LOD in single-player and then transfer it back to my world? Does it work or Should I use the Chunky mod for slow LOD generation?
yes that will work. if you have the seed and have the same world generation mods as the server, you can generate the LODs in singleplayer, then transfer them to the distant_horizons_server_data folder
/lodstored
Single Player:
- Overworld:
.minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Nether: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM-1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- End: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIM1/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
- Custom Dimensions: .minecraft/saves/WORLD_NAME/DIMENSION_FOLDER/data/DistantHorizons.sqlite
Multiplayer:
- .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data/SERVER_NAME/
Ok. By the way, do you know how to increase Chunky mod's speed? Even when I set the radius to 10,000 or 50,000 in single-player, it takes quite a few hours.
world generation takes a long long time
so no, i dont think theres a way. although maybe faster random and noisium might help a bit
but unless you require the actual chunks, its better to not use chunky
/chunky
Chunky is known to cause LODs to turn into swiss cheese and bloat up world size, as can be seen in the attached screenshot.
We recommend you enable "Distant Generation" in Distant Horizons' settings and wait.
If you actually want to pre-generate vanilla chunks along with LOD data, disable Distant Horizons, wait for chunky to finish, then re-enable Distant Horizons.
I also tried using Noisium, but there was no difference, and I set Distant Horizons to Aggressive and I Paid For the Whole CPU, but that didn’t help either. I'm playing NeoForge 1.21 and have the latest Iris and Sodium installed. Are there any good settings of DH to make LOD load faster?
then youve already tried all the settings to make DH load faster. not much else you can do, world gen is just slow. as a last ditch effort, you can try turning down all video settings, which may or may not make a difference
