It especially doesnt work while using any sort of shader
Its just always like this, and then with shaders its just loading normal mc chunks

Thanks, that worked! I got it working but its still a bit wonky
things load really slowly even on a higher cpu load, and its a bit grainy in some areas
world gen does take a very long time, so that might be expected behavior. what do you mean with grainy? screenshot?
Im still seeing things like this a good amount, mainly with water. This is waht it looks like in working areas (second ss)
also still some holes in areas of the world
yea, its still generating. itll generate faster if you turn off your shaders and turn your other video settings down
if you mean the grainyness with blisses clouds, thats just how bliss works for now
but then I would turn on shaders and it would restart loading right?
should fix itself when you wait long enough
nope, it wont restart
it will continue where it left off
what other video settings should I lower?
render distance, fps limit are probably the most important ones
abnd do I revert all that back after it loads?
yep
also what should I have the render distance/fps to normally?
depends what you want. but generally dont go over 12/16 chunks render distance
and fps cap should I do my monitors hz?
that would be fine yea
alr
ill let you know if it works
alr thx it looks very good now, my pc just handles it not great but it works fine
/slowgen
If it feels like LoD generation with
Distant Generator
is too slow:
Install Noisium and Faster Random, these mods optimise world generation code.
Try increasing CPU Load
in Distant Horizons settings for faster generation, but you will experience more lag spikes and stuttering due to heavier workload on CPU.
To see if Distant Generator
is really working or not:
1) Check CPU usage while in-game, using Aggressive
settings of CPU Load
. If CPU usage's hovering around 80-100%, the LoDs are generating in the background.
2) Go to DH settings > Advanced Options > Debug > Wireframe
, set Enable Debug Wireframe Rendering
and Show World Gen Queue
to True
.
Enabling both settings will show you the visualization of world gen tasks queued and working on the map (blue boxes for queued tasks, red boxes for working tasks)👍
You can try these mods
thx
oh I already did those
