[v-core-3.1 500mm] can't get it under .2mm range
Hi guys - I've been trying hard lately to get my bed mesh heightmap under .2mm range but I can't get passed .3mm range.
I can see a few issues:
* the bed is curved on the sides so I tried to attach/reattach the linear rail -> did absolutely nothing
* I can see kind of a wave pattern so I tried shifting the magnetic plate by 90 degres and interestingly enough I had pretty much the same result
* There is a drop on one corner but I don't know how to fix that
I am all for any kind of help. Thanks in advance

I have the magnetic plate and the pei attached to the bed. Also, I tried to fiddle with it since and it went similar on surface but with a .4mm range 😦
how come I have this weird shape (front of the printer is on the left)
after reading in other posts I believe it could be the x rail. So, I tried unscrew everything and then start from one side to the other with the same torque (contact + 90 degrees) will see how it goes
aaaaaand it did nothing
alright trying Y axis now who knows
somehow the range decreased from .367mm to .300mm but the shape remains the same
I got something a little bit more good looking on the x axis. But I think I need to find a way to get the corner in the back flat
check the bed with a straight edge and a light
it might be the bed shape
My bed was pretty bent 0.5 range and i managed to unbend it very much (0.2) by standing and jumping on it, with my girlfriend on my back on the exact spot it was bent at🤣 (NOT RECOMMENDED) some people have used a rubber mallet and precise blows, but that's also not recommended.
You can use kapton tape to get the range down
Your bed might be good though, so check it with a straight edge, before you attempt any of that
I also had issues with the back, because the electronics enclosure extrusions were pushing on the y extrusions compressing the gantry
thanks I will try that! I also did a 30 by 30 heightmap to see if it would show some particular spot or something and no. It looks pretty much the same as a 7 by 7.
well it's flat - I'm lost now
to be fair rotating the bed did nothing so I guess it is safe to assume it is related to the frame
it's most likely the y linear rails
try messing with those
also might be this
