A staple in certain circles. How do you wear tie-dye? Does it have a place in your closet? What do you look for in a piece? Do you have a favorite brand?

my brother once was given a crate of tiedye shirts from a guy on the side of the highway and exclusively wore them for around 5 years
I think its charming when done diy but Its not my cup of tea
Tie dye is dope! Online Ceramics and Liquid Blue are the kings obviously but I love having tie dye parties with friends!
I like dressing tie dye shirts with tailoring for a fun high/low look
Love me a good tie dye! Buying them in stores sometimes is hard for me though because many graphic tie dye t-shirts are drug related and that doesn’t fly at my job.
I’ve wanted to diy some for a while not but I haven’t gotten around to it.
Liquid Blue Grateful Dead tees will always have a place in my rotation 😎 i’ve had a handful of Online Ceramics tees over the years but sadly i just don’t like the way they fit me. The graphics rule though

I’m a dirty hippie at heart so I’ll always have some form of tie dye
I tie dye anything light colored as soon as I get stains on them beyond my scrubbing / vinegar / whatever google says should work. I have an ocbd that suffered an unfortunate mustard shmelting accident and its gonna get a yellow and blue dye soon
Just rubber band random bits, hair ties for a looser squeeze, and go to town

I fuck with the tiedye socks trend (which is probably totally played out by now). I think as a shirt i want it to look vintage/emulating 70s style rather than looking too 90s or contemporary.
I typically can’t get down with tie dye because it gives me flashbacks to selling acid to goobers at the concerts of terrible bands
That said, I have a tie dye shirt a friend made me for the anniversary of smooth by Carlos Santana featuring Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20
I still wear that thing at least once a week
So I like that tie dye shirt
But all others are not my cup of tea
i used to be really enamored with tie dye but now idk why i was ever into it
to be fair, with things i've fallen out of love with, i think i simply moved on to something else that still carries similarities
like i really like asymmetric details still and i think my interest in tiedye is a reflection of that
i also just really like how dyed items can look (like indigo as a example i guess) and i mean... tiedye
so i'd say tiedye is a reflection of something i was rly into before i developed my taste more
