Random? black blocks
Random? grass blocks are black, and looking at the surrounding blocks the transition should be smoother

Second LOD level lighting also seems harsher, but IDK
The popup transition is very visible in movement though
More black blocks
i have this issue too
this is with DH 2.2?
yes
weird
It is the same instance I tested Lithium
But it is after the fix was applied
here are my findings
first time seeing this many
it's more severe with far jungle biome
Hmm
i see those too
This just looks like shadow below trees to me
This is concerning though...
actaully this one looks kinda nce
not saying to the blocks in water though
I noticed that all (or at least all that I've looked at) black blocks on grass have a short grass over it (though the grass it not the only culprit as not under every grass there is a black block)
As for trees I have no idea
bump
is this fixed
I don't think so
@Miki_P98 did you report it on gitlab?
No, that might be a good idea to do so
with 2.2.1

great!
Is there a way to reproduce this issue?
I haven’t experienced it.
For me it just self reproduced
I might run some tests and make sure it is not mod compat issue
I discovered it while testing Lithium compat
But I made sure it also happened on a run with no Lithium
That’s be very helpful.
If you can find a specific seed and position where the problem consistently happens that’d be helpful to know.

I created This world 2 times and gotr the same result.
Reentering the world does not fix this.
There is a short tall grass over(/under) the black blockHere is my completely vanilla and default DH testing with seed, coordinates, facing and rotation.

Bug: Random black blocks in LODs that doesn't fit in the lighting of the environment.
Steps to reproduce the bug: Generate LODs and look for the pitch black blocks that don't fit the environment. (in my experience, most of the black blocks seem to be under or near trees) (seed: 8320439262132072730)
Log: https://mclo.gs/EsyeGtT
Was there any progress made about this bug?
I can't reproduce the problem with the latest nightly build and no other mods.
Tested with current DH 2.3
The old black blocks are gone, but I noticed new ones :/
Same seed as before
I'm happy to say that I also don't see this harsh transition anymore
This one is weird as for a split second it disapeard and looked correct...
