Wave on vcore 4 500 mesh
I just finished my v-core build and was going through the commision part. My mesh seems to be a wave. Starting ok-ish it goes up, down and up again.
Adjusting the corners by loosening the quick-connectors and tightening them again does little to nothing regarding the big wave in the front. What could this be? Bed is the Milled cast tooling plate

Grab a straight-edge and verify the plate itself is flat
That's almost a whole mm of variance
Only got a short 10cm one. I can actually "tilt" the tool a bit on the left front (where the top of the wave is according to the mesh) and I see a small "dent" under it in the right front
that is what worries me ^^
If it were just the corners I would try further adjustmens, But I don't know how to counter those waves towards the middle of the bed
With such a large variance, I wouldn't blindly try to fix it. Verify things are flat/straight first
I will try to get my hands on a larger straight-edge. But according to my 10cm tool there is actually a "wave" in the bed.
If after testing it with a long-enough straight-edge it is actually that unflat, get it replaced.
Will try with a 20cm GG00 one tomorrow. Thank you for your help so far 🙂
Hopefully you have not attached the heater or bed magnet yet
I'm having the same issue. Here's what I see. Reached out to RatRig but haven't back yet. Will having the magnet and plate in any way help with that? The gap is small but enough to go surfing on that mesh
Post the side of the bed mesh that shows the range. Useless without that. Is that with the magnet installed or without
@chicken I'll repost it this evening. That's without the magnet installed. Thanks for your help with this
Is this the standard bed or the upgraded milled bed?
Should be the milled 8mm bed from the 500
Here are my mesh results. Looks like it is averaging .415 nm. No magnet, no heater installed either
The commission guide calls out to not install either of those until you are sure the bed is good. Please start your own thread in this channel we people can give you some pointers.
